HEKS/EPER employs around 600 full-time staff members. Its work is guided by the vision of a just world where peace prevails, the dignity of all people is respected, and natural resources are preserved. The Finance Manager plays a crucial operational role in managing the finances of HEKS/EPER in Ukraine. Based in Kyiv, the Finance Manager handles daily financial management, including treasury, accounting, and internal financial reporting. The Finance Manager collaborates closely with the Head of Finance, who oversees strategic and overall financial aspects.

Your main responsibilities:

Budget Management

  • Consolidate budget follow-ups and forecasts on the Master Budget.
  • Update of the cost coverage plans according to eligibility and available budget and inform the finance co and the country director about any financial risk
  • Update budgets on the financial monitoring tool (Master Budget) when required

 Cash Flow and Payments Management

  • Supervise the daily management and safety of cash box including payments and advances and report any discrepancies to superior.
  • Control cash payment and cashier registers.
  • Verify that in-country payments are done according to internal procedures,
  • Monitor contract payment due dates and verify payment requests.
  • Prepare monthly cash request for validation from the Finance Co
  • Implement cash security procedures under the supervision of the Finance Co and ensure information confidentiality.

Accounting Management:

  • Ensure all invoices are compliant with HEKS-EPER regulations and procedures and with local regulations.
  • Ensure all expenses are recorded in the excel sheet on a daily basis, and required information is properly filled in (date, accounting code, project, budget code etc.). 
To be successful you bring:

Minimum qualification and experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (speaking/reading/writing)
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting

 

Additional (technical) knowledge required

  • Advanced knowledgeable PC: SAGA, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access
  • Able to manage own time, delegate authority and necessary tasks
