Head of Center for Projects in Education and Teaching (80-100%)
D-ITET is uniquely characterized by its diversity of research with a full range of theoretical and experimental expertise, from the atomic scale to entire systems. The new center aims at leveraging the full extent of vertical coverage and diversity of D-ITET.
The aim is to develop project-based learning activities with a centralized structure at the departmental level. The center will offer larger and interdisciplinary projects for students on all levels of their study. As the head of the center, the successful applicant will be responsible to shape and manage this center. The position involves proposing, selecting and mentoring suitable flagship projects, recruiting and supervising additional staff, obtaining financial support for center activities, communicating with the department, scientific and public outreach, interacting with industry and collaborating with learning science researchers.
The offer targets highly motivated professionals with a Ph.D. degree and three or more years of relevant experience. Applicants must have a proven track record in project and/or line management in an electrical engineering or information processing environment. Recent teaching experience at an advanced technical level is required along with “hands-on” skills.
