Gramazio Kohler Research - The Chair of Architecture and Digital Fabrication at the Department of Architecture - invites applications for a full-time Post Doctoral Researcher to lead the research group of On Site Digital Fabrication in Construction. The group is engaged with the development of technologies in the field of robotics, AR and novel construction processes that are uniquely suited to on-site applications. The research is conducted within the interdisciplinary National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Digital Fabrication. The position starts in June or as agreed.
Post Doctoral Researcher - Gramazio Kohler Research / NCCR Digital Fabrication (100%)
We are looking for a highly motivated architect and researcher with an excellent academic track record in computational design and robotic fabrication. We expect excellent programming skills (Python and/or C#), experience in robotic planning and ideally exposure to sensing and AR technologies. An interest in mathematics and mechanical engineering is desirable, experience in architectural project development and construction an advantage. You should feel confident in leading a group of young researchers, be fluent in English, demonstrate a high level of initiative and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary research team.
