Postdoctoral Researcher in High Voltage Gas Circuit Breakers
The successful candidate will work mainly experimental in the area of current interruption and switching in HVAC and HVDC gas circuit breakers and switching in novel gas mixtures. She/he will, together with other team members, take our new flexible pulsed current source into operation that enables investigations up to 20kA and 10kV with arbitrary current wave-shape. It is planned to extend the current portfolio of excellent diagnostics with passive and active optical diagnostics. The successful candidate will not only continue to research on world-class level, but will also gain experience in leading smaller sub-groups of PhD and Master students and strategic research planning.
The successful candidate has graduated from a university and received an excellent degree in electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering and has prior experimental experience with plasma arcs and/or switching in gas circuit breakers. She/he is motivated and interested in working within an interdisciplinary research group. She/he works systematically and independently, is well organized and can present her/his results.
