Head of the Center for Projects in Education and Teaching (80-100%)
The aim is to support and enhance project based learning activities with a centralized structure at the departmental level. With this, it will be possible to offer larger and interdisciplinary projects for students on all levels of their study. As the head of the center, the successful applicant will be responsible to start, run and manage this center. The position involves proposing, selecting and mentoring suitable flagship projects, recruiting and supervising additional staff, obtaining financial support for center activities, communicating with the department, scientific and public outreach, interacting with industry to obtain project inspiration and support and interacting with learning science researchers in D-GESS, who plan longitudinal studies on the effectiveness of project-based learning initiatives.
This announcement targets highly motivated senior professionals with Ph.D. degree and at least 5 years relevant working experience. Applicants must have a proven track record in project and/or line management in an electrical engineering or electronic information processing environment. Excellent teaching skills at university at an advanced technical level are required along with “hands-on” experience.
