The ETH Zurich World Food System Center is an interdisciplinary competence center for research, education and outreach on food system challenges and solutions. The World Food System Center is currently recruiting an Education Manager to join its executive office team on 1st November 2018 or as agreed upon.
Education Manager (80-100%)
We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated to coordinate the education programs of the WFSC as well as support the educational director in the development of existing and new programs. The WFSC educational programs encompass short courses, study tours, workshops and events both in Switzerland and abroad. The candidate should have an interest in innovative approaches to education, multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder collaboration and raising awareness around food system challenges and solutions.
The candidate should have a natural or social sciences master's degree in a field relevant for sustainable food systems. Given the requirement to work across disciplines, sectors and cultures, the candidate should be an open-minded problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a motivated team in an independent and resourceful manner. The ideal candidate has project management, financial management, evaluation, reporting and communication skills or a strong motivation to develop these competencies. Experience in running education programs or workshops is a plus. Fluency in German and English is required, and additional language skills are an advantage.
