Research Assistant in Microbiology 100 %
In your project, you will characterize bacteriophages for application in food and agriculture. Your work will combine classic and molecular microbiology. You are expected to actively shape the direction of your project, to closely collaborate with industrial partners, and to present your data at regular meetings and in scientific publications. Depending on your qualification, you will be integrated into our regular teaching activities and supervise students during their semester, bachelor or master theses.
You require a completed MSc in Biology or in a closely related field. Skills in microbiology or food microbiology are an asset. Experience in bacteriophages will enhance your qualification. The successful candidate should be highly motivated, creative and curious. Fluent command of English and German is mandatory. The research will be carried out at the ZHAW in Wädenswil for a period of 24 months in time. The employment is temporary.
