ZKB asset management is the second largest asset management company in Switzerland with over CHF 300 billion in AUM as well as a leading provider of private equity and venture capital solutions. The Private Equity team manages over CHF 450 million in AUM and has invested in over 20 growth companies to date. This year, we have successfully launched our second growth fund "Swisscanto Private Equity Switzerland Growth II", targeting a first close in Q4 2025. To support our expanding investment activities, we are looking for a highly driven and experienced Investment Director to join our team in Zurich.

As an Investment Director, you will be actively involved in the entire investment process from screening to exit. Your primary responsibilities will include trend scouting, deal sourcing, and conducting due diligence for growth investment opportunities in the ICT & Digitalization space. You will leverage your industry expertise, network, and analytical skills to drive investment decisions and provide operational support to our portfolio companies. Further you will assist the managing directors on various tasks such as financial modeling, market research or strategic projects. Your tasks
  • Sourcing: Identify and engage with high-potential technology companies that align with our investment strategy. Network with founders, co-investors, advisors, etc., and proactively reach out to promising startups to build pipeline.
  • Evaluating investments: Perform due diligence on potential investments and prepare investment reports, term sheets and other materials for presentation to the investment committee.
  • Executing: Manage the negotiation and closing of investments, initially with oversight from a Managing Director, coordinating with legal, finance and other DD teams.
  • Managing Portfolio Companies: Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies to maximize value creation. Take on board roles where applicable.
  • Support the investment team with representative and administrative duties, including event and conference representation, deal-flow database management, LP reporting, etc.
Your profile
  • Master's degree, preferably from a technical university 
  • Additional corporate finance, business or management education, such as an MBA 
  • Minimum of 7 years of direct investment experience at a venture capital firm or corporate investment arm, with an established network in the European venture capital ecosystem 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: prior founder or work experience in "ICT & Digitalization" is a strong plus 
  • Digital native with exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Independent and self-motivated: you thrive in an autonomous work environment, showcase quick adaptability and have a self-starter mentality 
  • Fluency in English and good communication skills in German
