Ophtapharm AG is an FDA/EU-GMP certified manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector (ophthalmic products). At our production site in Hettlingen near Winterthur, high-quality products such as eye drops, ointments, and gels are aseptically produced, filled, and packaged for international markets.
Microbiological quality is a critical success factor in our aseptic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will lead our Environmental Monitoring & Hygiene team and drive environmental monitoring, hygiene oversight, contamination control and GMP compliance across the site.
For our production site near Winterthur, we are looking for a Supervisor Environmental Monitoring & Hygiene to join us as soon as possible or by agreement.
Supervisor Microbiology - Environmental Monitoring and Hygiene (80-100%)
Your Impact
- Lead and develop the Environmental Monitoring & Hygiene team and foster microbiological excellence across the site.
- Oversee environmental monitoring activities, data trending, microbiological investigations, and contamination control measures.
- Ensure site-wide hygiene and aseptic standards through training, guidance, compliance monitoring, and media fill oversight.
- Support GMP compliance through risk assessments, deviations, CAPAs, and change control activities.
- Provide microbiological expertise and support for site projects, process improvements, and CAPEX initiatives.
Your Profile
- Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Experience in environmental monitoring, microbiological quality control, or aseptic manufacturing in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Sound understanding of microbiological processes, hygiene concepts, and cleanroom operations.
- Experience investigating microbiological deviations and supporting CAPAs and change controls.
- Fluent in German and comfortable working in English
