Ophtapharm AG is an FDA/EU-GMP certified manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector (ophthalmic products). At our production site in Hettlingen near Winterthur, high-quality products such as eye drops, ointments, and gels are aseptically produced, filled, and packaged for international markets.
You lead and develop the Quality Control department of a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing site and ensure reliable, compliant, and timely analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Together with your team, you drive quality, laboratory performance, continuous improvement, and inspection readiness in a highly regulated GMP environment.
To strengthen our Quality organization, we are looking for a hands-on, quality-focused and people-oriented leader to join us at our site in Hettlingen near Winterthur as Manager Quality Control (80–100%), starting as soon as possible or by agreement.
Manager Quality Control (80-100%)
Your Role
- Lead and develop the QC department, including Analytical Chemistry, in close collaboration with Microbiology and In-Process Control
- Ensure GMP-compliant testing and release of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products
- Drive laboratory performance, continuous improvement, digitalization and data integrity
- Lead investigations, CAPAs and inspection readiness activities
- Manage, coach and develop the QC team
Your Profile
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related Life Sciences discipline
- Several years of experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control, including leadership responsibility in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical expertise, including HPLC and laboratory investigations
- Sound knowledge of GMP requirements and experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
- Fluent in German and English
