For the Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry at Paul Scherrer Institute we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Fellow in Aerosol Chemistry

Your tasks

  • Running advanced mass spectrometers including AMS, online Orbitrap-MS, VOCUS-PTR, and MIPTOF 
  • Ambient measurements in polluted areas 
  • Source apportionment and investigation of processes relevant to the ambient 
  • Chamber / flowtube experiments with a focus on solid fuel combustion and mixed source experiments 
  • Publication in high impact journals 
  • Support / Co-supervision of other Postdoctoral Fellows / PhD Students in different campaigns

Your profile

  • PhD degree in Atmospheric Science, ideally already postdoctoral experience 
  • Proficient in relevant aerosol mass spectrometric methods 
  • In-depth experience in data analysis and programming (e.g. Python) 
  • Proven track record of successful publications 
  • Very good oral and written English skills 
  • Team player
