The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Your profile

  • You should have completed three years of full-time studies at university level by summer 2026 in natural or engineering science disciplines or computing
  • You are expected to obtain your Bachelor’s degree in summer 2026 or are enrolled in a Master’s programme at a university
  • You have not previously been at PSI as a summer student
  • You have a good working knowledge of English and some basic computing skills

We offer

Our institution is based on an interdisciplinary, innovative and dynamic collaboration. For the duration of typically 8-12 weeks, you will be part of a research group at PSI, contributing to its research activities through an individual work project. Your stay will be enriched by complementary lectures and activities with other students.
