The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. We perform cutting-edge research in the fields of future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation and fundamentals of nature. By performing fundamental and applied research, we work on sustainable solutions for major challenges facing society, science and economy. PSI is committed to the training of future generations. Therefore, about one quarter of our staff are post-docs, post-graduates or apprentices. Altogether, PSI employs 2300 people.
To complement our research in Kagome Lattice and van der Waals based Quantum Materials, we are looking for a motivated and talented scientist to push technical and scientific boundaries. You will become part of a vibrant research environment to perform collaborative research on mesoscopic physics in Kagome Lattice and vdW 2D systems by magnetic imaging using scanning probe microscopy such as MFM (magnetic force microscopy) and X-ray-based imaging such as XMCD-PEEM (X-ray magnetic circular dichroism-Photoelectron Emission Microscopy) or other techniques.
For the Spectroscopy of Quantum Materials group, we are looking for a
