For the Severe Accident Research Project we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Analysis of severe accident scenarios in a non-electric nuclear reactor using MELCOR code; development of the input model, sensitivity analysis, and analysis of the results
- Analysis of liquid source term from a severe accident using MELCOR code
- Develop representation of liquid source term in severe accident analysis using thermodynamic calculations or results from them
- Presentation of research results in the project meetings, as peer-reviewed publications, conference participations and preparation of technical reports
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering, physics, chemistry, or other natural sciences. The candidate should have a solid background in nuclear engineering, preferably in severe accident analysis. Experience with severe accident analysis codes, in particular MELCOR, would be beneficial. The candidate should be fluent in spoken and written English. German would be useful.
