For the Battery Materials and Diagnostics Group we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Leading innovative research projects focused on next-generation battery materials and interfaces
- Developing and implementing advanced physical, electrochemical and operando characterisation methods for battery materials and devices
- Establishing and leading national and international research collaborations with academic institutions, research organisations and industrial partners
- Publishing scientific results in leading peer-reviewed journals and presenting research at international conferences
- Contributing to the strategic development of the group, including new research initiatives, laboratory infrastructure and experimental capabilities
- Mentoring and supervising PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and junior scientists, fostering their scientific and professional development
Your profile
- PhD in materials science, chemistry, physics, electrochemistry or a closely related discipline
- Strong research background in electrochemistry, battery materials, solid-state batteries or related fields
- Proven scientific excellence demonstrated by a strong publication record
- Experience with advanced materials characterisation techniques Track record of acquiring competitive research funding or clear potential to secure external funding
- Experience with large-scale research facilities, such as synchrotron or neutron sources, is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset and genuine interest in supervising early-career researchers
- Very good command of English
