For the Laboratory of Atmospheric Chemistry we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Perform field experiments as a part of an interdisciplinary team to characterize volatile and particulate matter emissions from airport operations
- Deploy and maintain state-of-the-art gas- and aerosol mass spectrometers as well as a range of particle size spectrometers in these experiments
- Perform source apportionment modelling and identify aviation emission specific tracers and potential plume processing pathways
Your profile
We are looking for a self-motivated team player, with experience in aerosol science. Excellent qualifications with a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences / engineering or a related subject are required. You have profound experience in mass spectrometry of aerosols and/or trace gases and interest in experimental work in an interdisciplinary team. You further have a background in scripting and data analysis techniques of mass spectrometry data sets. Knowledge in other aerosol instrumentation is beneficial but not required. Proficiency in English is required.
