For the Large Research Facilities Division we are looking for a
Your tasks
You will be part of the cross-departmental project that aims to develop the system for the activity calculations fulfilling the requirements of the Swiss authorities. One of the requirements of the project is producing the standard report according to the established form combining the multiple types of information about the calculation which are already available in the databases of the project.
You will get familiar with the underlying data structures, participate in the development of the standard report form, develop and implement the programming module for the automatic report generation using existing function libraries for the automatized document creation, and conduct activity calculations demonstrating the functionality of the newly created programming component.
Your profile
- Computer science, information technology or software engineering student at least in the penultimate year of undergraduate study (minimum 4 semesters)
- Basic knowledge of high-level interpreted programming languages like Python, Go or similar under Linux
- Ideally familiarity with relational databases (SQL, MySQL) and web design technologies (Javascript, HTML, XML)
- Good English communication and presentation skills
- Not yet completed Master’s thesis
