Your tasks
You will conduct your own µSR research and collaborate in research projects with external and/or internal users of the SµS. In addition, you will give scientific support to the users of the PSI bulk µSR facility, participate in the development of new, cuttingedge experimental techniques and the upgrade of existing µSR facility instruments.
Your profile
You are a recently graduated PhD degree scientist with experience in the field of condensed matter research or experimental particle physics. Preferably, you are familiar with spin-resonance methods, instrumentation and data acquisition techniques, cryogenics and instrument control. Knowledge of uniaxial or hydrostatic pressure techniques would be of advantage. You like to work in a team and to give support to and collaborate with guest scientists. The position represents excellent opportunities for postdoctoral scientists to develop their expertise, to broaden their experience and to interact with a large, international research community.
