The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. PSI is a pioneer in the field of proton therapy. It conducts technological and clinical research in order to optimize spot scanning proton beam therapy and to extend the spectrum of indications for proton radiotherapy. Besides research activities, PSI provides a clinical program for patients presenting with indications that are accepted by the Swiss Health Care System for proton beam therapy. Your tasks
- Clinical management and planning of patients undergoing treatment
- Medical assessment and treatment plan of patients
- Deputy lead of the Proton Therapy Tumor Board at PSI
- Administrative and clinical lead of the Radiation Oncology Group
- Initiation and support of prospective and retrospective clinical trials
- Supervision of the postgraduate education of junior radiation oncologists staff
- Analysis of treatment outcome and submission of data in peer-reviewed medical journals
- Presentation of clinical results in specific conferences
- Participation in the public and clinical representation of the Center for Proton Therapy
- Deputy lead of the Proton Therapy Tumor Board at PSI
Your profile
You are a board-certified radiation oncologist with substantial relevant clinical experience. Your interests include all of: clinical engagement with patients, clinical research and medical physics. You are an innovative, mature personality with strong social competence and excellent communication skills. You are looking for a leadership position and you are ready to build up a clinical network with professionals on a national and international basis. Furthermore, you are interested in working in a multinational and multidisciplinary team and have a good knowledge of English or German.
