The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. For Catalytic Process Engineering Group within the Bioenergy and Catalysis Laboratory we are looking for a
- Perform data acquisition using UPLC-HRMS, GC-HRMS instruments on bio-energy samples, daily instrument maintenance (e.g. calibration) and sample preparations and develop methods
- Report the analytical results in a clean and concise manner
- Responsible for the supply of laboratory consumables
- Occasionally you work in shift opertion (up to 20% of the working hours)
You hold a university/ETHZ or university of applied science degree focusing on analytics of small organic molecules by mass spectrometry (e.g. metabolomics, environmental science, drug development). Alternatively, you are a laboratory technician with many years experience in HRMS. You have hands-on experience with standard sample preparation methods. Futhermore you are fluent in English and at least advanced in German.
