Together with your team in the Microspectroscopy Group
, you collaborate on the soft X-ray ptychography project at the SLS
. Cooperating with both internal and external partners, you carry out research work using ptychography-based X-ray microscopy and spectroscopy at the nanoscale. You conduct experiments on systems such as magnetic nanostructures for spintronic applications and functional nanomaterials.
- You find the idea of supporting an energetic, interdisciplinary, and cross-national team with your PhD knowledge in experimental physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related area, motivating
- You enjoy developing and working hands-on on experimental setups and adapting existing Matlab, C, or Python code to explore and interpret large datasets
- You have some initial experience using ptychography – or another lens-less imaging technique
- You are interested in magnetism, functional nanomaterials, or X-ray microscopy
