For PolLux Beamline of the Swiss Light Source
we are looking for a
Beamline Scientist (Tenure Track)
Soft X-Ray Microscopy, 80 % - 100 %
- Collaboration with and support of external user groups at the PolLux Beamline
- Operation and further development of soft X-Ray microscopy
- Initiation and execution of research projects in the field of microscopy of magnetic systems
- Supervision of PhD Students and Postdoctoral Fellows
- Publication of results in scientific journals and conferences
You hold a PhD degree in physical sciences and have experience in using advanced synchrotron based X-Ray microscopy for research on magnetism and magnetization dynamics. Experience with the development of instrumentation and project management skills are of advantage. You can quickly adapt to new situations in an international and interdisciplinary environment. As a highly motivated researcher you are eager to propose and discuss new scientific ideas with your colleagues, collaborators and users. You have excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of the local language German would be an additional plus.
