The Food Web Ecophysiology group is looking for a technical assistant for the biogeochemical analysis of samples ranging from algae to animals collected from across freshwater and riparian food webs as well as instrument maintenance and general laboratory organization.
Your tasks:
The successful candidate has exceptional organizational skills, excellent attentiveness to detail and quality control, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a growth-based mindset, especially when it comes to developing and refining new analytical techniques. Previous practical experience with EA, GC-FID, and IRMS including data processing, is ideal and knowledge and interest in ecology and/or biogeochemistry would be very beneficial. The lab and departmental working languages are English, but knowledge of German is preferred.
You will be based within the Department of Fish Ecology and Evolution, located on the shores of Lake Lucerne in Kastanienbaum, Switzerland. The position is limited for a duration of up to two years.
