Your tasks

  • Responsible for the operation of the center's electron microscopes and the sample preparation facilities
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic repairs of microscopy equipment
  • Coordinate more complex repairs and servicing with instrument manufacturers and external service providers
  • Introduction and training of users to the tools & methods
  • Participation in scientific projects
  • Provide electron-microscopy services to internal and external customers

Your profile

You bring along practical experience in the operation and maintenance of electron microscopes, as well as in related sample preparation methods. You are familiar with small electro-mechanical devices. You have a flair for details and perfectionism. You are eager to expand your horizon and to learn new characterization methods and applications thereof. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory, in German desired.
