Empa's Technology and Society Laboratory (TSL) explores the role of novel materials and emerging technologies in the transformation towards a more sustainable society and supports stakeholders in developing safe and sustainable materials, technologies and socio-technical systems.
We are looking for a group leader in the field of "sustainable materials cycles"
The successful candidate will lead a research group and further develop our research topic "sustainable material cycles" under consideration of emerging trends and pressing societal challenges such as bio-based and circular economy, carbon removal, clean cycles, energy transition, green and digital transformation, and raw materials criticality.

The tenure track position will ideally have to be filled until end of 2023. We support teaching at an academic institution and student supervision on a master and PhD - level.
We offer a highly interdisciplinary research environment and flexible working conditions to perform high-level research in support of industry and policy making. Our Laboratory consists of experienced scientists, postdocs as well as PhD and master students.
