The project is financed by a foundation and defined project will be done together with the candidate depending on its profile. The position is therefore recommended for a person who is interested in an academic career.
You will be able to assist in the development of 2D and 3D metallic or semiconductor structures for a specific application depending on your profile: from a fundamental understanding of the processing of those structures to their caracterization.
A strong desire to work on cutting edge research topics and a high level of motivation to work in an international, multidisciplinary research team in the field of materials science are essential. Knowledge of English (oral and written) is important and knowledge of German or French would be an advantage. Experience in material characterization with cutting edge analytical techniques for microstructure analysis such as TEM, XPS etc. and/or experience with cleanroom based electrochemical process technology such as Liga is a strong plus.
