Professor in the field of Digital Spaces (60-80%)

• To develop learning methods, theories, and practices in the field of digital spaces and to strengthen education and research in this field
• To secure externally funded research projects, author academic publications; communicate research findings through conferences, festivals and exhibitions
• Play an active role in the strategic development of the BA degree programme, including fostering links between research and teaching at the whole school and university
• To position and establish a network for the Digital Spaces sector within a regional and international context
• To expand collaborations with industry partners

You hold a master’s degree (MA) and, ideally a PhD, or have several years comparable research experience in a design discipline or related field.

Furthermore, you meet the following criteria:

• You will have a proven track record of several years’ research and teaching experience, particularly in one or more of the following areas: Interaction Design, Critical Media, Digital Social Spaces, Digital Scenography, Generative AI, OSINT, UX/UI Design, Signage, Data Literacy, Digital Cultures and Technologies.
• You have an established research network, can demonstrate high-quality research output, and have already successfully secured external funding for research projects.
• You have experience of innovative teaching methods and of delivering high-quality, research-led and practice-oriented teaching.
• You have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• You hold a qualification in higher education teaching didactics or are willing to obtain one during your first few years of employment.
• You possess excellent German and English language skills in both spoken and written form.
