Your tasks
The Physics Laboratory supports teaching across all HTU study programs and maintains a collection of more than 300 experiments used in both theoretical and experimental courses. These experiments are used in a wide range of subjects, including mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, thermodynamics, photonics, electronics, semiconductor devices, photovoltaics, and many others. In addition to the lecture activities, the laboratory is strongly involved in research and development in the topics of electronics, renewable energies, photonics, and sensor technologies. All these activities are conducted by highly dynamic and qualified staff comprising faculty members, lecturers, technicians and researchers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the conceptualization, design and prototyping of new experimental
- setups for theory and laboratory lectures
- Support the development of prototypes for bachelor and master student
- scientific projects
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with CAD and/or FEM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Synopsys, Silvaco, Ansys, COMSOL, etc) is an advantage
- Independent, reliable, well organized and team-oriented working style
- Willingness to pursue a master’s degree alongside the position within the FHNW MSE program
