- You meet the eligibility criteria for an SNSF Starting Grant and want to use it to establish your own research in cell biology, cell engineering or a related area
- You have expertise and long-term interest in the field, and aim to apply these to medical research challenges such as developing relevant cellular models or treatments for disease
- You are keen to work with scientists at the FHNW, other national and international institutions and industrial partners
- You integrate the latest technology and data science into your research
- You value engaging with students and involving them in your research projects
- You enjoy teaching BSc, MSc and PhD students
Your prospects:
The FHNW School of Life Sciences offers sophisticated technical, laboratory and office facilities. The school’s highly motivating working environment is enriched by joint projects with a large number of companies and institutions in Switzerland and abroad, a varied program of scientific events, and daily interaction with students in both research and teaching. SNSF Starting Grant applicants will be selected based on the compatibility of their research focus with our aims. They will receive support for their application and, if successful, will get full access to our infrastructure to conduct their independent research.
