Flexibility, self-determination, creativity, interdisciplinarity - our mission
Your tasks
Innovative research happens often at the interface of traditional scientific disciplines. This postdoctoral position is in the framework of a recently granted EU project (https://fass-solubility.eu/) that is about research between laser-based analytics and pharmaceutical applications. Second harmonic light scattering is employed for fast and sustainable solubility measurements and the application research in pharmaceutics is planned to be impactful both from an academic as well as industrial perspective. Key tasks in this postdoctoral position are:
- Method development
- Scouting of novel pharmaceutical applications in solubility testing
- Comparative chemical analysis mostly by HPLC
- Mechanistic investigation of interesting results using different spectroscopic and modelling tools
The contract is limited to 1.5 year with option to extend.
Your profile
A solid background in Physico-Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Pharmaceutics is required with a relevant master and PhD degree. Important skills for the present position are:
- Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical analysis
- Experience in studying molecular interactions (e.g., drug-excipient) experimentally or digitally
- Experience working with statistical software (e.g., R- Studio)
- Ability to think in an interdisciplinary way and to work in a cross-functional team
Your prospects:
