Your tasks
In this position, you will work in the area of software and requirements engineering, one of the specialities of the Institute for Interactive Technologies (IIT). In collaboration with professors and staff, you will participate in the acquisition of new applied research projects, the execution of the research projects, and the teaching of courses for students and continuous education. Your tasks include the co-writing of proposals for various research funding organizations. For successfully acquired projects, you will be active in project management as well as in the design, development, testing, and validation of software-based innovations. The project work will be executed in cooperation with Swiss, European and international partners. Your teaching will include co-teaching course offerings at FHNW related to your work area, including teaching within the CAS “Digitalization and Sustainability”. You will also be involved in supervising student projects.

The position is initially limited to 1 year.
Your profile
You have a strong background in software and requirements engineering and have completed or are about to complete a PhD (or equivalent). Additionally, you have professional experience with teaching at a higher educational institution, ideally in Switzerland. Besides that, you possess excellent programming skills and first experience in project management and the collaboration with industry partners. You know how to conduct research related to the design of software-based innovations and have experience in publishing research results. In addition, you have very good written and oral communication skills in English and German. Furthermore, you are able to work independently as well as in a team.
