Your tasks:
You will be involved in a multi-disciplinary team with the task to develop a clinical decision support system for autoimmune diseases. Your tasks include setting up the frontend and backend, integrating a database with different data types such as molecular and clinical, creating documentation and performing tests. You are aware of bioinformatic pipelines and high-performance computing. Your tasks:
  • use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React/Angular to create the frontend of a web application
  • use MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL to create databases for content and data management
  • use Node.js and/or Python to create the backend of an application and connect it to a frontend
  • use machine learning methods such as Random Forest, support vector machines and/or neural networks
  • participate in an agile workflow and mentor trainee developers in the team
The position is initially limited until 31 August 2021.
Your profile:
You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and are comfortable collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks. You have a strong background and experience in software development and engineering. You have been exposed to or have a strong interest in learning and further developing yourself in bioinformatics and the medical field. Additionally, you are able to work simultaneously on multiple projects (at least two) in a flexible manner. You like to work in groups and collaborate well with others, but can also work independently. As a trustworthy, hardworking and easy-going person you are creative, as well as interested in developing new ideas and working on cutting-edge science.
