Workshop Technician (Aircraft Painter)
As a Painter at Jet Aviation, you will be working as part of a dedicated maintenance team and will be responsible for successfully carrying out a variety of painting tasks on the interior and exteriors of the aircraft accordance with Jet Aviation procedures and aviation regulations. You will be operating under the Jet Aviation Part 145 approval, the Jet Aviation Health and Safety policy, customer requests and other airworthiness requirements.

   Under direct supervision, prepares, applies, and touches up paint on aircraft fuselage. 

   Performs high quality repairs to painted surfaces of aircraft interior and exteriors in the shop and on-wing. Applies paint to surfaces using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods.

   Interprets material specifications to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements with a high level of quality and detail.

   Complies with and champions Safety, 5S and housekeeping. Ensures the protection of aircraft.

   Works to develop and implement process improvements that address safety, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, and man-hours.

   Utilizes the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.

   Assists in maintaining shop equipment.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

   Previous experience in paint finishing processes preferred in aerospace industry preferred.

   Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift

   Ability to operate and maintain sanders, grinders, paint spray guns, platform lifts, forklifts, etc. 

   Trade school certificate or apprenticeship a plus.

   Ability to understand simple English language.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation a plus

   Ability to work / carry out maintenance tasks without constant supervision

   Ability to work under tight deadlines
