Technical Officer - Ohakea, New Zealand
As Technical Officer you are accountable for the Continuing Airworthiness duties as per the RNZAF CAMO delegation for the 42SQN King Air Fleet in compliance with Company requirements, NZDF and CAA NZ applicable aviation regulations.

Annual Salary up to NZD$90,000 + Kiwi Saver
  • Carry out accurate data entry into CAMP for all aircraft within the fleet,
  • Maintain Aircraft and RNZAF publications as required,
  • Prepare Monthly KPI and Business Unit Health reports,
  • Monitor aircraft reliability IAW RNZAF King Air Reliability Programme
  • Record aircraft daily flying hours in CAMP,
  • Complete data entry for ACTC service contract,
  • Complete data entry in “Master Flight Hours” record and check sheet,
  • Correspondence with OEM’s on behalf of the CAMO,
  • Assist the CAMO Supervisor, as required, with the following duties;
  • Ensuring maximum use of aircraft downtime is made for maintenance activity, so that aircraft operate with minimum disruption for technical reasons,
  • Manage relationship with provider of electronic maintenance records and assure all maintenance is recorded in CAA and OEM logbooks,
  • Carry out analysis on aircraft usage and report weekly and monthly,
  • Provide input to the Reliability Monitoring Program to measure effectiveness of airframe, engine, role equipment and component maintenance Programs,
  • Liaise with the contracted Part 145 ,and other stake holders to support the efficiency and effectiveness of operations,
  • Provide input and support to the development and maintenance of the annual review of the aircraft maintenance program, aircraft structural integrity program, powerplant structural integrity program, software configuration management plan, minimum equipment list to support serviceability of the aircraft fleet,
  • Liaison with 42Sqn and Airfield Manager relating to overall capability delivery in support of customer operations as required,
  • Play an active role in related meetings such as weekly flying schedule meetings with 42SQN flight operations. 
  • Deputise for the CAMO Supervisor duties, as required for periods of absence.
  • Conduct duties in line with RNZAF CAMO DEA appropriate delegation.
  • Perform additional duties and related tasks from time to time as demanded by the Program
  • Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in a similar CAMO role,
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Computerised Management Programmes 
  • Knowledge or understanding of NZ CAA Regulations in relation to the Part 145 and Continuing Airworthiness(desired)
  • Knowledge of the NZ CAA Civil Aviation Act, Civil Aviation Rules and Advisory Circulars, or willingness to gain such knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Defence Aviation Regulations in particular DAR Part M (desired)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Maintenance Controller training, or equivalent CAMO training, alternately willing to successfully undertake required training.
