The Production Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and maintaining all maintenance activities for aircraft and associated equipment, including the development and management of the maintenance program. This includes creating and managing maintenance work orders, tracking maintenance progress, and ensuring the timely completion of all maintenance activities. The Production Planner will work closely with other departments within the organisation to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Annual Salary AUD $70,772-$86,134 + Super + Relocation Assistance if required.
Manage maintenance work orders for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are scheduled and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Work closely with the Production Engineer (PE) and the Project Management Office (PMO) and other departments within the organization to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Track maintenance progress and provide regular updates to the PE & PMO and other departments within the organization.
Provide input to the PMO regarding resource requirements, including staffing and equipment needs.
Coordinate with other departments within the organisation to ensure that maintenance activities are completed in accordance with the organization’s schedule.
Conduct regular reviews of the maintenance program activities allocated.
Undertake pre-release check credit and creating work authorisation prior to work release.
Raise work orders for incoming maintenance or additional work to ensure clarity/scope to of jobs to provide effective planning of team members and resources.
Initiation and preparation of job packs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities.
Other duties as may be directed by your supervisor from time to time to support operational and business success.
Ensure project Milestones and critical path tasks are monitored to ensure milestones are met, if a milestone is at risk, ensure the PE / PMO are notified
Assisting in Daily toolbox meetings as delegated by the CRS
Parts interpretation for difficult parts
Support the CRS to ensure the effective handovers are completed.
Ensure paperwork is signed off progressively against the master checklist as it is done.
Communicate daily with Tech Records to review the master checklist and ensure both parties are up to date.
Ensure tooling loan requests are submitted
Reviewing daily time report to monitor actual hours against ASR estimates
At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance production planning role within a CASA Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Facility or extensive knowledge of Production Planning & maintenance operations.
Comprehensive understanding of CASA Part 145 regulations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Common courtesy and customer orientation.
Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job
