Cabin Safety Compliance Verification Engineer
As Cabin Safety Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to cabin safety and interiors. You will form part of the Office of Airworthiness within Jet Aviation’s EASA Part 21J Design Organisation.
Together with the engineering team you will work on all design activities such as but not limited to, VIP Completions, refurbishments, modifications, upgrades, defence and special mission aeroplanes. The core compliance activity is in CS 25 Large aeroplanes however experience in CS 23 and/or CS 29 rotorcraft would be an advantage.
Description/Tasks:
- Classify changes and repairs
- Review, verify and approval of engineering documentation, test plans, analysis and other certification documents related to design changes, modifications and repairs
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies for STC’s and attend meetings
- Preparation of certification programs
- Manage STC projects as Office of Airworthiness focal point for engineering
- Provide technical guidance and advise engineering team on compliance matters
- Perform compliance inspection of cabin interiors
- Preliminary LOPA certification review to identify non-compliances
- Ground and Flight test CVE witnessing, including conformity
- Perform cabin safety CVE role in flight test activities such as Flight Test Hazard assessments, safety review board meetings and supporting the flight test coordinator
- Verify compliance with OSD-Cabin Crew Data
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with other internal stakeholders, including quality, program management, production, installation, supply chain management.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on cabin safety matters
- Coaching and mentoring of design organisation staff
- Assist the Office of Airworthiness in the development of procedures to maintain the Design Organisation Approvals
- Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and practices
- Subject matter expert advising on subcontractor qualification
Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Design Organisation
- EASA Part 21J CVE in Cabin Safety
- Experience in both minor and major changes
- Expert knowledge of EASA regulations and standards related to cabin safety.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Successful working experience in highly collaborative environments, demonstration to take initiatives and lead efforts inside the team
- Fluent command of English language - both written and spoken
