Accountant

As the Accountant you will be responsible for the financial bank accounting of all Jet Aviation entities within Europe in the Shared Services Accounting team in Basel. You will perform your tasks in line with the organization’s vision and strategy. You will also be collaborating closely with other Finance departments to ensure that accounting is aligned and executed effectively.

Description/Tasks:
  • Perform bank accounting activities, including the reconciliation of payments, record all bank transaction, month end activities and reconcile the accounts for multiple Jet Aviation entities.
  • Allocate income payments properly on the AR accounts and follow up with the entities
  • Perform Treasury administration and prepare monthly/quarterly report’s
  • Corporate Credit Card management
  • Ensure that transaction entry verification procedures are followed
  • Support all kind of internal and external audits as well as other departmental tasks as deemed necessary
  • Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders relating to all aspects of the work
  • Remind customers of all the open accounts within EMEA, send statements of accounts
  • Be responsible for regular information and communications of open debts to management
Qualification/Experience:
  • Commercial accounting education
  • Good knowledge of Swiss OR
  • In depth understanding of accounting and reporting processes and procedures
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of work experience in similar position in an international company
  • Fluent in German and English (oral and written)
  • Good knowledge MS Office (Excel, Word) and SAP
