Dispatch Assistant (Hong Kong based)
Dispatch Assistant
Description/Tasks:
  • Ensure the safe, punctual and economic operations of all JBJH flights by establishing or contracting out for professional ground handling of Company aircraft, of their load, of flight and cabin crew and of passengers at all aerodromes JBJH operates to
  • Participate in the Safety Management System
  • Assist to contribute to make operational decision in the interest of JBJH
  • Assist the Dispatchers to ensure the required measures for the security of the aircraft, the passengers and baggage
  • Assist the operations schedule for each individual aircraft, which implies close cooperation with maintenance and strict observance of the flight and duty time limitations as described in the Flight Operations Manual;
  • Assist the Dispatchers to react, in close cooperation with the PIC, Director Flight Operations, Director Ground Operations, Chief Pilot, and the appropriate authorities to irregularities and incidents related to security;
  • Assumes any duties delegated by the Director Ground Operations;
  • Support the dispatchers on worldwide trip planning and coordination of the managed fleet;
  • Communicate with aviation authorities and agents with regards to overflight and landing permissions;
  • Assist the Dispatchers to create computer flight plans via various flight planning systems;
  • Organize and coordinate ground handling and refueling;
  • Organize crew rotations and ensure crew duty times are within the maximum as stipulated in the Flight Operations Manual;
  • Arranging airline and hotel bookings for our crew members;
  • Prepare materials for Dispatchers on crew briefing in oral and written form;
  • Accountable for ensuring all pre and post-flight documentation is processed in accordance with the regulations and internal procedures and policy;
  • Works in 24 hours shifts pattern
Qualification/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or relevant disciplines
  • Experience in Aviation industry preferred 
  • Strong verbal and written English Skills as well as Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to deal with critical deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Detail focused
  • Able to work under pressure
