Senior Manager Purchasing

This position is responsible for managing the Purchasing team of 15+ FTEs with the overall objective to provide materials, services, and information, on time and on budget. You will develop the Purchasing Team as pertains to effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis. This role is reporting to the Senior Director Procurement.

  • Optimize workflow, processes, and systems to improve service level performance and efficiency
  • Track team performance and adherence to defined KPI`s to meet overall company targets 
  • Manage daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks
  • Serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders
  • Disciplinary and professional responsibility for the Purchasing Team
  • Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance as per the applicable Jet Aviation Procedures, Process Specifications, Technical Instructions, Manufacturer Instructions, Aviation Regulations, and any applicable data approved or accepted by the competent Authority
  • Ensure that all personnel in their area of responsibility receive appropriate initial and continuation training
  • Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labor legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment
  • Review purchase order claims, and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiate refunds
  • Work closely with Strategic Sourcing team together to ensure operative and strategic alignment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration from an accredited university or business school
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to lead a multi-cultural team
  • relevant work experience in Purchasing/Procurement business area
  • Very good IT skills in MS Office and SAP
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Aviation background or technical knowledge preferred
