In order to reinforce the Flight Operations team in Hong Kong we are currently recruiting for an
A319 Flight Engineer (Hong Kong-based)
The Flight Engineer is to assist the pilot by monitoring the aircraft’s instruments, perform maintenance during flight as well as responsible for carrying out basic inspection of the engine and other mechanical systems before each flight.
Description/Tasks:
General Responsibilities and Duties:
  •  Responsible for the technical aspects of the aircraft operation under the instruction of the CAMO department
  •  Aircraft preparation prior to the flight mission
  •  General assistance to cockpit – and cabin crew
  •  Pre- and post-flight inspections
  •  Report any technical defects to the CAMO and JHKG 
  • Assist to coordinate ground handling of aircraft with ground handling agent
  • Fly on aircraft as crew members when requested by Flight Operations
  • Line-maintenance tasks – scheduled and unscheduled – as per work orders issued by the CAMO and JHKG
  • Trouble shooting and defect rectification as per work orders and instructions of CAMO and JHKG
  • Assist JHKG procurement in the ordering of spare parts to meet both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements
  • Liaise with OEM technical service representatives in relation to aircraft technical issues
  • Assist in the processing of paperwork as per JKHK procedures and forward completed work packages to JHKG
  • Assist to maintain ground support equipment assigned to operations in good working order and monitor calibration status where applicable
  • If so, authorized by the JAHK QAM, the authorization holder must comply with all the applicable FAA Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, Training Program Manual Policy and the instructions within the associated Technical Procedures 
  • When exercising any Repair Station inspection and certification functions the holder is acting on behalf of the post holder quality (FAA Repair Station Chief Inspector)
  • Other ad hoc duties required by the operation of the aircraft  
Qualification/Experience:
  • Holder of valid A319/320 license
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience on aircraft maintenance activities as certifying staff and preferably also on type
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation value
