In order to reinforce the Production Sheet Metal team in Basel we are currently recruiting for a
Workshop Technician - CNC & Machines
Our shops are supported by our ultra-modern Sheet Metal shop, which produces all structural and decorative elements such as seats rail, brackets, metal boxes, fittings, hinges and inlays that help us create the customized details of the Customers. The shop can also make specialty fixtures and decorative items like Tables mechanisms, Shower doors, cargo racks, as well as parts that will have plated surfaces with gold or other metallic finishing. A quality production line dedicated for System assemblies and manufacture of pipe parts. Recently redesigned and restructured to meet the latest demands of our customers, our sheet metal shop is outfitted with the latest modern equipment, including a new CNC Machining Center, expanded orbital welding capabilities, Heat Treatment and Tube Bending capabilities that make our Sheet Metal Shop second to none.
  • Machines and manufactures high complex (3D form) metal parts (or equivalent material).
  • Operates CNC Machines according to provided programs. Works in conjunction with programming office to maintain, improve and recommend efficient machining methods with a high level of safety, quality, detail and productivity.
  • Perform high complex machining tasks on metal or equivalent materials.
  • Works actively and in good intelligence within the Sheet Metal Team.
  • Manufacture high complex metallic parts, subassemblies using process specifications and 3D/2D design/engineering drawings with a standard level of safety, quality, details and productivity.
  • Manufactures complex assemblies, tooling and templates according to engineering data.
  • Performs minor repairs and modifications on A/C parts/components in accordance with SRM or Eng. Order.
  • Assists team members with great experience to enhance techniques of quality workmanship.
  • Support Sheet Metal Technicians to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
  • Works with supervisor to develop and implement technical process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost, cycle time and promotes performance.
  • Trains SHM Machines Technician 1 and CNC Operator 1.
  • Supports continuous improvement action tasks.
  • Can perform Installation in A/C under Supervision.
  • Demonstrates capability to learn other disciplines and skills.
  • Support EH&S, 5S monthly Audits and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Research approved document in JPMS IT platform.

  • Knowledge in reading and understanding 3D Models files & 2D manufacturing drawing and assemblies.
  • Knowledge in using CNC and conventional stationary sheet metal machineries with a high level of safety.
  • Knowledge in machining as sheet metal machine worker, especially for materials like Plastic, Polycarbonate, Aluminum, Titanium and Stainless Steel.
  • Knowledge on CNC milling machine with Heidenhain iTNC530 or Bystronic Byjet, Bybend.
  • Handles different types of materials like Plastic, Lexan, Aluminum, Titanium and Stainless Steel and uses appropriate tools.
  • Knowledge in reading and understanding 3D/2D drawings and follow instructions.
  • Experience in aviation industry is an advantage.
  • Reached SHM Machines Technician 1 and CNC Operator 1 and some of SHM Machines Technician 1 and CNC Operator 2.
  • Approved Multiple (Conventional & CNC) machine tool setter with appropriate educational qualifications and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience as sheet metal machine worker, especially for materials like Plastic, Polycarbonate, Aluminum, Titanium and Stainless Steel.
  • Personal drive and self-motivation.
  • Highly flexible.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work and stay calm under pressure.
  • Computer skills on MS Office.
  • Software skills Smarteam, Catia V5 (Viewer), machines language for Bystronic Byjet, Bybend, Milling and Waterjet.
  • Good knowledge of English required, French & German beneficial¬†
