In order to reinforce the team in Basel we are currently recruiting for a
Workshop Technician - Paint Shop

.

Description/Tasks:

•   Mix and apply primers / top coats in accordance with different paint manufacture technical data sheets

•   Perform aircraft repaint, paint repairs/polishing and touch-ups

•   Prepare stencils, lettering blocks and apply letters, decals, and insignias to aircraft

•   Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint using paint removers or abrasives

•   Perform prolonged standing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands

•   Check work for completeness and accuracy, maintain high quality

•   Responsible for cleaning equipment and report damage equipment

•   Perform other duties as assigned and required by his/her superior and coordinate with his/her superior

•   Comply with Paint Shop standards, safety procedures and specifications

•   Comply with Company JBSL Part 145 approval, JBSL safety policy, customer request and other airworthiness requirements

•   Read and write work procedures in English

Qualification/Experience:

•  Apprenticeship and / or education in an equivalent environment is a must

•  General knowledge of paint preparation, paint mixing and paint application processes is required

•  Education on technical courses is an advantage

•  Minimum 3 years of experience with prepping, masking and general paint refinishing background on aircraft or automobiles/trains is required

•  Basic knowledge of MS-Office

•  Fluent in English. German and/or French is beneficial

•  Able to work on shift and weekends
