In order to reinforce Aftermarket Sales Team in Basel we are currently recruiting for a
Aftermarket Sales & Services Director

You will be accountable to engage with potential new customers offering spare parts, component repairs, engineering services and production solutions. You will achieve this together with our Aftermarket Sales & Services, Shops and Engineering teams.

Reporting to the Head of Aftermarket Services & AOG, this is an exciting opportunity to drive expansion in the booming business aviation industry in line with our business growth strategy.

Description/Tasks:
  • Manage and develop our existing portfolio of customers with new products and services
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships with new customers
  • Negotiate contracts in line with our pricing policy and terms and conditions
  • Identify market needs that can help develop our capability and subsequently provide added value to our customers
  • Full accountability for achieving sales objectives for the aftermarket organization
  • Effectively represent Jet Aviation in front of customers, OEMs, partners, etc.
  • Regular customer visits and built-up of relevant network in the relevant market segments with respect to customers, decision-makers, authorities, partners, representatives
  • Strong cross selling attitude to support other lines of business
  • Minimum of 30% travel activities are required 
  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
Qualification/Experience:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business or related field. Master degree is a plus
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the aviation spare parts/component repairs industry within a sales/business development role
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of trends in the (business) aviation industry
  • Business and strategic oriented mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into solutions
  • Customer centric attitude
  • Used to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong communication, presentation and customer facing skills
  • Able to lead without having direct reports
  • Excellent English skills in verbal and written; French and/or German is a plus
  • Strong personal values
