In order to reinforce the Base Maintenance team in Basel we are currently recruiting for a
Director of Maintenance (Part 145 - Base Maintenance Manager)

As the Director of Maintenance of the Part 145 organization you will be responsible for successfully lead the overall operation of the maintenance and refurbishment activities of the Basel MRO operation. You will lead the aircraft maintenance operations Team including our C, B1 and B2 certifying and support staff (approx. 200 employees working in 6 hangars). As a direct report of the site General Manager your mission will be to ensure project results are met respecting budget, schedule and quality targets, in line with your priorities and the organization’s Vision and strategy. You will be collaborating closely with various stakeholders throughout the company to ensure that the projects are globally aligned and executed effectively. The role also requires a focus on safety (product and employee) and employee performance.


• Define and execute the operating plan for Part 145 organization, in accordance with strategic plans and financial requirements. Follow existing controls and metrics to monitor progress on execution
• Develops and maintains budgets, manpower, schedules, procedures and policies to optimize utilization of all resources

• Review performance of departments and take timely corrective action to resolve deficiencies
• Set and define standards for working processes and rules and get sure they are respected across all the departments
• Lead by example as a proactive, flexible, forward thinking individual that works to the best of his/her abilities, while embodying and promoting our values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment and Transparency)
• Support and enforce all EHS policy and procedures
• Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network


• Demonstrated successful leadership experience within a large aerospace organization (MRO Center, OEM or similar).
• Broad knowledge of the aerospace industry, OEMs, and the regulatory framework (part 145)
• Excellent track record of managing complex operations and achieving continuous process improvements.
• University degree from an accredited university in business administration, economics or engineering
• Fluent in English, French or German beneficial
