This position provides the clerical and technical skills to procure Aircraft Spares and associated products from Suppliers / Vendors, who are compliant in Federal, European and National aviation authorities and regulations. Responsibilities include raising Purchasing Orders, Order Co-ordination with Vendor, shipment organisation and associated shipment tracking.

The Purchaser will liaise with his respective aircraft Project Manager, to coordinate all Parts requirements and ensure that all Parts will be ordered from Vendor and received into Stores in time for aircraft Planned Maintenance. He will discuss Warranties with Vendor; organize Shipping in line with Customer requirements. He will order Stock Replenishments in accordance with Stock Level information supplied by Main Stores Clerks / Store Manager.

Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:

  • Creates Purchase/Repair Orders for all Parts required for Planned Maintenance.

  • Coordinates all Order processing at Vendor.

  • Establishes and confirms all Warranty coverage with Vendor in accordance with associated A/c warranty coverage. 

  • Dictates Shipping Requirements to Vendor in accordance with Maintenance planning requirements and customer approval.. 

  • Tracks all shipping movement with Shipper, organizing all associated Customs Clearance requirements if necessary

  • Monitors all of his outstanding Open Purchase/Repair Orders giving constant Order Progress and Status updates to all concerned

  • Ensures that all suppliers and vendors are compliant and approved in accordance with Supplier Management procedures.

  • Keeps positive and open communication channels with all vendors and contracted shippers. 

  • Keeps track of all Stock Replenishment Orders and ensures delivery prior to Minimum Stock levels being reached

  • AOG Purchasing Duty – to cover silent hours; evening and weekends.

  • Performs other duties as assigned


An experience of 4 years minimum in business, logistics and administration is required.

Purchasing experience within an Aviation environment – all associated Part-145 regulations.

Fluent in English and French.
