- Draft and review a wide range of agreements with the academic and industrial partners of the Institute, including consortium agreements, research contracts, software licenses, consultancy and confidentiality agreements
- Support the Head of LTTO on legal matters related to various projects, in particular on contract negotiation and drafting, compliance matters
- Assist the SIB Data Protection Officer, in particular with the management of the register of processing activities, updating internal regulations, and providing data protection training to staff
- Conduct legal research and advice on matters related to intellectual property, data protection, human research law, medical devices ordinance as well as contractual, labor, and administrative law
- Ensure the proper administrative management of the LTTO including electronic and physical management of contracts, follow-up of legal and contractual deadlines
- Law degree from a Swiss University and 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Officer or equivalent
- Proven practical experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements in the field of medical research and technology transfer
- Excellent knowledge of Swiss and EU legislation on data protection and research involving human beings
- Good knowledge of intellectual property law, open-source licenses and medical devices regulations
- Proficiency in English and French, including the ability to draft contracts in both languages, knowledge of German is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong team spirit
- Collaborative approach with capacity to work across departments and with external partners
- Ability to federate parties in complex settings, especially in multi-centre agreement negotiations
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
