At IBU, we provide cutting-edge High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure crucial for groundbreaking research. Our team supports a diverse community of approximately 250 HPC users, including bioinformaticians, biologists, and medical doctors from the Universities of Bern, Fribourg and other leading Swiss research institutions. Join us to play a vital role in empowering scientific discovery.
Together with a team colleague you will be
- Administering and maintaining our Linux server infrastructure.
- Managing and optimizing our HPC clusters, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Providing essential support by analyzing, prioritizing, and resolving user problem requests.
Profile requirements
- Proven in-depth experience with Linux system administration.
- Hands-on experience with virtual machines and containerization technologies.
- Practical experience administering HPC clusters, particularly with Slurm.
- Strong understanding of Network, Storage and Web technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
