Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to join a collaborative project between the Gfeller lab at UNIL and the Villard lab at HUG. The project will focus on combining structure-based and sequence-based approached to model specificity in immune receptor interactions, with a special focus on interactions mediated by KIRs and TCRs, in the context of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), allo-reactivity and graft-versus- host disease. The candidate will benefit from access to several clinical cohorts of HSCT patients. The position is funded by a highly competitive collaborative TANDEM grant received from ISREC Foundation.

The successful candidate will be located in the Agora center at Lausanne and is expected to meet regularly with the collaborators at HUG. The Lausanne-Geneva offers one of the best translational research environments in the field of cancer and immunotherapy with several world-renowned Institutes (UNIL, Ludwig Institute, ISREC, EPFL, UNIGE, HUG, SIB).

Profile requirements
PhD in Biology, Math, Physics, Chemistry or Computer science with demonstrated experience in Bioinformatics and at least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal. Experience in Immuno Informatics and analysis of immune receptor sequences and interactions is a plus.

Candidates should have a strong interest in cancer and immunology research. Good knowledge in programming and the ability to work in English (oral + written) are required. Exceptional PhD student candidates with demonstrated research experience will also be considered.
