Switzerland Tourism is the marketing organization for the national and international promotion of Switzerland as a vacation, travel and convention destination. Each day, the 280 employees at our Zurich headquarters and in 35 offices in 21 markets use innovative and unconventional means to market Switzerland as an especially attractive and diverse travel destination.
For our office in São Paulo, we are looking for an experienced professional with an outgoing personality and autonomous working style to fill this management position, reporting to the Head of Markets West.
Your area of responsibility
- Overall responsibility for Switzerland Tourism's market presence in Brazil with the aim of increasing visitor numbers and generating value for Swiss tourism industry
- Execution of Switzerland Tourism's strategy while delivering the goals set for the market
- Collection of market intelligence and trend scouting
- Develop and foster a network of relevant multipliers (B2B, Media, Content Creators, KOL) in Brazil
- Ideate, execute, and report marketing activities tailored to the needs of our Swiss tourism partners and in close cooperation with ST HQ in Zurich
- Controlling of marketing projects and deliver set key performance indicators (KPI)
- Prospect and enable access to new sales channels for the Swiss tourism industry
- Budget accountability for the Brazilian market
- Lead a team of 2 full-time employees in São Paulo
Our Expectations
- Swiss National
- Solid background in marketing combined with several years’ experience in a leading marketing position (preferably in the tourism sector)
- Entrepreneurial and driven to actively promote Switzerland as a premium destination for leisure and business tourism
- Dynamic and hands-on team player with strong ethical standards and intrinsic motivation
- Extensive network within the Swiss tourism industry; an existing portfolio of contacts in Brazil is an asset
- Ability and affinity to drive our luxury tourism strategy forward
- Proven intercultural competence, strong leadership skills, and coaching abilities
- Solid intrinsic motivation, resilience, and autonomous working style
- High degree of professionalism and service attitude
- Strong budget and cost awareness, ensuring efficient and responsible resource allocation
- Portuguese language is not a prerequisite; willingness to learn is
- Excellent command of English as well as either German or French is required
