Intern in Soil Chemistry 80-100% (f/m/d)

Within the project DRYMET that seeks to quantify risks from heavy metals to drinking water quality, you will support the project leader in the development of methods for field experiments and in the analysis of soil samples. Your duties will include helping to set up experiments with soil and soil solutions, taking samples and preserving them for analysis, and conducting UV-Vis spectrophotometric analyses. Additionally, you will support field operations and installations at our research sites, mainly in southern Switzerland. Depending on your background and interests, there will be opportunities to gain knowledge on various aspects of soil functioning.
For this internship, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental sciences or chemistry is required along with basic experience working in a laboratory. Working proficiency in English or German is essential. The ability to learn quickly and work independently is highly valued.
